Gold Vintage Banarsi Brocade Jacket - UK 14 / EU 40 - Preloved

This is a stunning jacket, it is made of pure silk and has some stunning embellishment work on it including dhabka work, zardosi, masses of hand sewn sequins, and gold tilla embroidery. It if from the early 90’s, so about 3 decades old. 
The sleeves at gathered at the shoulder and have shoulder pads.
It is cotton lined; the back is plain.

It has hook and eyes to secure however these have pressed on the cotton lining and left rust marks on the lining only, it is not visible from the outside. Dry cleaning is recommended.

• Underarm to underarm when laid flat – 54cm
• Bust (taken approximately 3“/7cm down from the armpit) - 53cm
• Length of sleeves - armpit to cuff end - 31cm
• Kameez - seam allowance each side - 0cm
• Kameez length - measurement from under armpit to hem – 40cm
• Kameez length from shoulder to hem - 65cm
• No fastenings – hooks and eyes
